Leonaisis Pena claims Dominican Rep. LDC Hoops Agents weekly honour

Leonaisis Pena put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader CPN and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The had the game-high 22 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for CPN in his team's victory, helping them to beat Fenix (#4, 1-2) 84-79. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed CPN to jump to the first place in the Dominican Rep. LDC. The season is still on an early stage, but CPN already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. Pena has many years of experience at CPN, through which he has constantly improved.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Khalil Small (190-G-1995) of Immortals. Small impressed basketball fans with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Immortals was edged by Moca Superior (3-0) 92-89. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Small is a newcomer at Immortals and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.0ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 10.0rpg and 4.0apg.

The third best performed player last round was Joan Santos of Capitanes (#7). Santos got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . Despite Santos' great performance Capitanes lost 87-90 to CPN (#1, 3-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Capitanes can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 3 games. Santos has a very solid season. In 3 games in Dominican Republic he scored 19.3ppg.
